Ragtime
Get stomping to the syncopated rhythms of Ragtime, a musical style from the late 1890s to around 1920. Scott Joplin made the style popular with ‘The Entertainer’ and the ‘Maple Leaf Rag’ around the turn of the 20th century. Ragtime influenced early Jazz artists and piano players like Fats Waller and Jelly Roll Morton perfecting the Harlem stride piano style in the 20s and 30s.
