Gypsy Jazz is style of Jazz originating in 1930s Paris by the guitarist Django Reinhardt and swing violinist Stéphane Grappelli. Gypsy jazz is usually played my a small group of musicians including lead guitar, lead violin, double bass, rhythm guitar and drums. Sometime called Hot club-style jazz, Gypsy swing and “Jazz Manouche”, the French name for Gypsy jazz.
