Dixieland

Dixieland

Dixieland originated in New Orleans at the beginning of the 20th century and is also known as Traditional Jazz or Classic Jazz. Dixieland takes influence from Ragtime, Blues, Brass band marches and Jazz. Dixieland was popular throughout the 30s, 40s and 50 due to a movement in the late 30s called the “West Coast revival”, Typical instruments in a Dixieland jazz band would be banjo, trumpet, clarinet, tuba, sousaphone and trombone. Cheerful and up-beat production music perfect for fun advertising and promotional videos.
