The 1930s was a time of progress for the music industry with the radio becoming commonplace in the home. Popular music of the times were Jazz styles like Bigband, Swing, Gospel, Boogie-Woogie and Blues, also dance numbers from film musicals. The 30s was responsible for many other Country and Folk styles like Hillbilly, Bluegrass, Honky-tonk and Western.
