Michael Nickolas

I've been performing/creating music since childhood. My original music has been used in over 440 different TV shows and movies. Placements on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and many cable television networks include "The Voice", "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee", "Shameless", "Let's Make a Deal", "Last Call With Carson Daly", "The Great Christmas Light Fight", “One Life To Live", "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and "Vice". I have tracks in the 2017 feature film "1 Mile to You" staring Tim Roth and the 2014 feature "Hector and the Search for Happiness" directed by Peter Chelsom and starring Simon Peg, Rosamund Pike and Christopher Plummer. I also had a track in the 2013 feature film “Inescapable” starring Marisa Tomei and Alexander Siddig and in a national ad campaign for Blue Diamond almonds.

I also do custom composition on an international level, having written hundreds of songs used in many projects created by Macmillan Educational Publishing, both the Mexico and UK branches.

Finally, as an author I am a contributor to the national periodical "Recording Magazine" and I've also been published on the "SonicScoop" website and in the Berklee College of Music alumni magazine "Berklee Today".

A solid funky groove piece starting with a cool effected bass sound. A James Brown influenced guitar enters, and there is a sax solo about halfway in. Has a great feel!
